The Vice President of Human Resources and Infrastructure is responsible for

• personnel policy, development and management
  
• the management of construction projects including the corresponding relations to the public and political authorities as well as the management of the real estate portfolio
  
• safety/security and environmental protection
  
• ICT management
  
• the information and knowledge management (library)
  

He allocates space for education, research and administration, provided that this competence was not attributed to individual departments previously.

The offices of Resources, Safety-Security-Health-Environment and Events and Location Development, the infrastructure domains Personnel and Services, Real Estate, IT Services and ETH Library as well as the CSCS are responsible to the Vice President of Personnel and Resources.

In the Departement of Management, Technology and Economics he holds the chair of Technology and Innovation Management.
